About the event
For this Mini Nature Artists pop-up at Tinkers, we’ll be slowing things right down and working with a limited, earthy palette inspired by winter.
Children will explore natural paints made from earth pigments, alongside charcoal, discovering how colour can come from the ground beneath our feet. Rather than using traditional paintbrushes, we’ll create our own mark-making tools using natural materials such as leaves, twigs, grasses and found objects, to experiment with texture, pattern and movement.
This is an open-ended, process-led session where children are encouraged to explore, test ideas and follow their curiosity. There’s no right or wrong way to create, just time, space and materials to experiment with.
A gentle, sensory session suited to the quieter rhythm of the season.
