About the event
Sensory Play
This drop-in workshop is designed to support families who experience autism and/or have other additional needs. Earth Trust's Artist in Residence, Nicola Fielding, has four years of experience working as a SEND teaching assistant and loves seeing everyone able to explore creatively.
‘Stations’ will be set up to allow families to enjoy their time at the workshop in a way that is comfortable to them. We’ll be playing with and exploring the things we can make with natural clay and foraged items, creating vibrant paintings using natural inks and getting messy with charcoal mark-making.
Quiet spaces will be available to those that need them but please bring your own noise-cancelling headphones if you think they will be useful to you.
Recommended for families with primary school aged children but all are very welcome
All materials, and refreshments, will be provided
