Welcome to the Mini Nature Artists Garden

Nestled within the heart of Warfield, Berkshire, the Mini Nature Artists Garden is a magical outdoor space where children and families can escape the busy, overstimulating digital world and immerse themselves in creativity, imagination, and nature. Located within Jealotts Hill Community Landshare, the garden is a safe, secure, and gated area that encourages free expression, hands-on learning, and a deep connection to the natural world. Surrounded by an orchard, beautiful gardens, a small plant shop, and just a short drive from Oak Tree Garden Centre and Moss End Garden Village, it’s the perfect place to relax, explore, and create.

🌱 A Fun, Exciting Space to Grow and Create

As you enter, you’ll find a raised planting area full of fruits, vegetables, and plants—inviting children to grow, tend, and harvest their own natural materials. This hands-on space nurtures a sense of responsibility while offering opportunities to use these fresh ingredients in creative projects. From nature-based art to homemade natural inks and paints, every experience is designed to embrace the process and spark curiosity.

🧺 The Gathering Space

To your left, a lovingly hand-woven willow fence shelters a cozy gathering area where we kick off each session with inspiring stories, imaginative games, and creative prompts. Large weaving walls invite children to collect and weave natural materials, encouraging exploration and discovery. Here, there are no boundaries to creativity—just the freedom to play and imagine.

🌳 The Living Willow Den

At the heart of the garden stands a living willow den, an enchanting hideaway where children can explore light and shadow. This magical space encourages quiet reflection and imaginative play, fostering creative thinking and new ideas. Art doesn’t need pens or paper—it can be created using just your imagination and the world around you.

🍃 The Woodland Walk & Reflection Circle

Winding through bursts of seasonal colour, the woodland walk takes you over a dry river bed and into a tranquil forest garden circle. This peaceful reflection spot is perfect for sensory exploration and offers a place to pause, observe, and gather thoughts—whether you’re crafting a story inspired by the sky or simply enjoying the quiet beauty around you.

🌾 The Land Art Zone

At the far end of the garden lies the Land Art Zone, a space to celebrate the beauty of change and transformation. Here, children will find materials to create natural frames and open areas where they can use foraged items like leaves, petals, stones, and more, to craft ever-changing artworks. This area encourages children to embrace the transient nature of their creations, allowing their stories and images to evolve with each visit. It’s a reminder that art is all around us, waiting to be discovered and reimagined.

🎨 The Creative Hub

Beyond the woodland walk is the Creative Hub, the heart of our hands-on activities. Each session is designed to embrace nature’s gifts and the changing seasons. Here, children will:

  • Create nature collages

  • Craft natural inks using a mortar and pestle with foraged plants

  • Build clay sculptures inspired by their surroundings

  • And so much more!

We focus on learning new skills and forming ideas that children can take with them, inspiring them to create art wherever they go.

🌍 Growing and Sustainability

Children will be involved in planting seeds, nurturing them, and replanting to replenish those used in activities. This hands-on approach teaches the importance of caring for the world, sustainability, and respecting nature—making the garden about more than just art, but also about connection, responsibility, and mindfulness.

🌸 A Space for Everyone

The Mini Nature Artists Garden is more than just a creative playground—it’s a welcoming community where families come together to learn new skills, make new friends, and explore the beauty of nature. We believe that art and creativity are for everyone, and our sessions are designed to inspire both children and adults. With no right or wrong way to create, the focus is on embracing the process and celebrating imagination in all its forms.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the garden—a place where creativity knows no bounds, and every visit brings new discoveries.
